Orbit Challenge

Our topic this term is Earth and Space. We are really enjoying learning about the planets. Miss McCabe set us a team challenge recently - after making our 'planets', could we show the correct orbit of the earth and moon? Look at our videos to find out!!

Active Learning in term 2

Here we are working hard during active maths and language times. We are working cooperatively with our friends.

Cooperative Team Challenge - term 2

Just like term 1, Miss McCabe set our class a challenge of forming new home teams. After being put together in new groups(our names were chosen randomly from a bag!) we had to choose a name, design a poster and create a celebrator! Each group had to make a ladder of success on their poster - we each had a step, and on the step we had to write what quality of ours would make our group successful.
We are looking forward to working with our new team mates!

RME in term 2

Miss Paterson comes to our class on a Thursday morning to teach us RME. This term, we have been learning about the religion of Islam. Room 1 have been hearing important stories and Miss Paterson has been showing us clothing and artefacts from the Islamic religion.
Primary 1/2 have really enjoyed this series of lessons - we have learned lots of interesting things!
