Expressive Portraiture

Our class have been learning about expressive portraiture. We used mirrors and worked with our shoulder partners to recreate a surprised/ shocked look. We looked at each other to study how our faces changed when we showed emotion.
We used charcoal to create a striking effect - we got into a bit of a mess, but it was great fun!!

Our new class!

Room 1 are so excited to be in their new class! Miss McCabe brought everything from our old room - it looks just the same!
It has been hard getting used to our new routines, but Miss McCabe says we are doing great!
Primary 2 have been doing a good job though setting a sensible example to the primary 1 children in the infant building.
Look at the photos of our new class!

Excellent Behaviour in Term 1!

Everybody in room 1 received an excellent behaviour certificate this term! This means that we had no red traffic lights, and nobody had more that 5 other traffic lights! Miss McCabe is very proud of us - what a fantastic way to start the year!
Our class joined room 6 and 7 for our end of term reward - a fun party!

We can't wait to have a well earned rest during the October break - we have been working hard. Primary 1/2 are looking forward to starting term 2 in our new class!

Look below - some of us with our special certificates!
